In this post I give you a little tour through our home. When we first visited this house I knew this would be our home. It just inmediately felt good. In front of the broker I had to look cool and calm, but from the inside I felt like jumping around!
We were so happy when we heard that the house was ours! Since then we are changing things step by step to make it a home that really suits us. We took our time so that we could experience how the light shines in, how we use the different spaces and which items would fit right in. Our to-do-list isn’t finished yet, but that’s okay. I think it’s always nice to have new projects to dream about!

Even binnenkijken
In dit bericht geef ik een kijkje in ons huis. Toen we dit huis voor het eerst bezochten wist ik dat het ons huis zou worden. Het voelde gewoon meteen goed! Tegenover de makelaar probeerde ik me kalm te gedragen, maar vanbinnen deed ik een vreugdedansje! We waren daarom ook erg blij toen we hoorden dat het huis van ons was! Sindsdien zijn we stap voor stap dingen in huis aan het veranderen, zodat het bij ons past. We namen de tijd zodat we konden ervaren hoe het licht binnenvalt, hoe we de ruimtes gebruiken en welke meubels zouden passen. Er staat nog van alles op onze to-do-list, maar dat geeft niet. Ik vind het leuk om te dromen over volgende projectjes die we zouden kunnen aanpakken!
We just bought this grey couch! I love the grey colour. It combines with my favourite colours. Also the size is great. Large enough for my partner and I to relax and it fits much better in the living room than our previous smaller couch.
We hebben net deze grijze bank gekocht. Ik vind de grijze kleur prachtig. Het combineert goed met mijn favoriete kleuren. Het formaat is groot genoeg om samen met mijn partner op te relaxen and het past veel beter in de ruimte van de woonkamer dan onze vorige kleinere bank.
I just painted the right wall in the colour Jade Green. This colour changes troughout the day!
Laatst heb ik de muur rechts in de kleur Jade Green geschilderd. Deze kleur verandert de hele dag door van kleur!
One of our to-do-projects is the floor. Everyone who visits us think the floor very pretty, but I find the colour of this floor way too dark. I’m dreaming about a light wooden floor for a while now and it might be our next big project!
Eén van onze to-do-projecten is de vloer. Iedereen die bij ons komt vindt de vloer prachtig, maar ik vind de kleur veel te donker. Ik droom al sinds we hier wonen van een licht houten vloer. Het zou best wel eens ons volgende grote project kunnen worden!
We have an open kitchen, so when one of us is cooking we still can see each other en share how our day has been. Oh, and meet our cat Felix!
We hebben een open keuken, dus als één van ons aan het koken is, kunnen we elkaar nog steeds zien en onze dag doorspreken. Oh, en maak kennis met onze kat Felix!
When we moved in we removed the cabinets above the kitchen counter and placed a shelf. It’s much lighter now and gives a more open feeling. And I can put things on the shelf that deserve a nice spot! I don’t have to tell you that our cat Dex actually isn’t allowed to sit on this kitchenshelf…
Toen we hier kwamen wonen hebben we de keukenkastjes boven het aanrecht verwijderd en een plank geplaatst. Het is hier nu veel lichter en geeft een meer open gevoel. En ik kan spulletjes uitstallen die een mooi plekje verdienen! Ik hoef je niet te vertellen dat onze kat Dex eigenlijk helemaal niet op de plank mag zitten…
The dining area has beautifull morninglight.
Bij de eettafel hebben we heel mooi ochtendlicht.
Because we want to add something nice to our hallway and we haven’t have a lot of space, we added a small shelf so that we can put some nice things in sight!
Om toch iets leuks te doen met de gang (ondanks de smalle ruimte) hebben we een smalle plank opgehangen, zodat we toch wat leuke spullen kunnen stallen!
